Taking Flight

In April of 2022, I found myself captivated by the enchanting singing voice of a friend, and it sparked the genesis of my composition, "Taking Flight." Overwhelmed by the emotive power of their vocal expression, I instinctively gravitated towards the piano, where the initial threads of the main theme began to weave together.

Driven by the profound inspiration derived from my friend's singing, I delved into the intricate process of orchestrating the piece. The very name, "Taking Flight," emerged organically, a suggestion stemming from the very source of my inspiration.

As the music materialized, I sought to enhance its depth and emotive resonance. To complement the triumphant and romantic essence of the theme, I embarked on a quest for royalty-free videos. Meticulously curated, these visuals were carefully selected to harmonize seamlessly with the musical composition, creating a multisensory experience that aims to evoke a profound emotional response.

Simultaneously, my artistic journey took an unexpected turn when I became acquainted with a skilled oboist. Recognizing the unique timbre and expressive potential of the oboe, I decided to incorporate numerous oboe solos into the composition. These solos not only added a distinctive layer to the overall sound but also forged a beautiful synergy with the prevailing themes of triumph and romance.
