Piano Etude No.1

I composed my Piano Etude No.1 "Rage of the Anxious" during the spring semester of 2020 while at Mason Gross School of the Arts. The composer’s practicum required us (the students) to compose a piece for solo piano that showed our understanding of the instrument. I decided to compose an etude which was inspired by Chopin’s Etude op. 10 No. 1 . Later in the semester we had a virtual reading session, (virtual due to COVID-19), by pianist Jihye Chang, where my piece was read and recorded.
