Taking Flight
From Hugo:
Taking Flight was inspired by the singing voice of a friend. After hearing them sing, I sat at the piano and began composing, and the main melody emerged almost immediately. I later orchestrated an introduction that builds with a dramatic swell and crescendo leading into the main theme. I also imagined a cinematic quality to the piece, as if it could accompany a scene from a film. When I added the video later on, it felt like a fitting representation of the beauty this piece aims to convey — a sense of natural beauty and uplift.
The dark castle
From Hugo:
The Dark Castle was composed directly from the image featured in the video. That visual sparked an immediate atmosphere in my mind — something shadowy, imposing, and cinematic. I wanted the music to reflect that world: dark and brooding, yet filled with a sense of grandeur. The piece aims to evoke a spooky, epic feeling, as if you're approaching a towering castle shrouded in mystery. Every harmonic shift and orchestral color was chosen to enhance that haunting sense of scale and drama.
Peaceful space and sky
From Hugo:
I composed this piece while imagining what it would feel like to look into the sky and see the vastness of space and the stars stretching endlessly above. I tried to capture that sense of wonder through swelling orchestral textures and light, floating flute lines. The cinematic quality of the piece reflects the emotional experience of witnessing something so immense and beautiful — that quiet mix of awe, serenity, and possibility that comes from gazing into the cosmos.
arctic odyssey
From Hugo:
Arctic Odyssey is a piece that captures the nature, coldness, and breathtaking beauty of the Arctic. I wanted the music to reflect the stillness of frozen landscapes, the shimmering light over endless snow, and the quiet power of such an isolated place. Through its textures and harmonies, the piece aims to evoke both the harshness of the cold and the serene, almost otherworldly beauty found in the Arctic’s vast expanses.
