From Hugo: "I composed A Distant Past as a way to unlock a forgotten chapter of my life, bringing buried emotions to the surface. In writing it, I aimed to convey a sense of deep reflection and attentiveness, shaping melodies that feel both obscure and familiar—almost like distant memories. While there’s a certain mystery to the piece, I also wanted it to be soothing, offering a quiet space for contemplation."
